Translation note:
The author sometimes refers ML as “小子” in this chapter, which means boy/youth. It sounds weird since ML is usually referred to as “男人”, so I changed it to man/guy to keep his image consistent.

Sorry for the delay! The first half of this chapter was hard to translate… I didn’t even understand what was going on until I finished translating the whole thing (´･_･`)
And the Beijing dialect was throwing me off. I didn’t know erhua was a thing until I read chapter 15.2 of DITA…I was trying to figure out what “儿” meant in every instance… orz

Wow this took longer than I expected. Written Chinese is more difficult than spoken Chinese. (╥﹏╥) I have newfound respect for all the translators out there. Nevertheless, I will persevere because this story is interesting!
